Yih-Shiuan Lin 林易萱

Hi, I'm Yih-Shiuan (易萱, aka 小黑)! Welcome to my personal website—I'm glad you found your way here!

I'm a visual neuroscientist, and I use behavioral and neuroscience techniques to study human vision—how we see and understand the world around us.

Originally from Taiwan, after receiving my master in the lab of Prof. Chien-Chung Chen (陳建中) in National Taiwan University, I earned my PhD and did my first postdoc in the lab of Prof. Mark Greenlee at the University of Regensburg, Germany. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher in Dynamic Perception Lab led by Prof. Jason Fischer. I'm trying to understand how early visual processes (e.g. visual illusions), can affect higher level processes (e.g. physical prediction).

On this site, you'll find more about my research, along with some fascinating visual illusion demos.

Have fun exploring! Feel free to contact me if you'd like to learn more about my work or connect further.
